Tabernacles Day 2: Expanding Our Outlook

On the second day of our Micro Feast of Tabernacles, Brenda McBride brought us an evening of information from the TED.com website to broaden our ways of thinking about life in general. Featured were ideas from the following TED lectures:

An opening presentation by Derk Sivers called Weird or Just Different?

A demonstation of just how far parts from Pig 05049 can go in our modern industrial systems by Christein Meindertsma in a .

A talk about Child-Driven Education by Sugata Mitra.

A talk about what makes both people and the planet a happy place, The Happy Index, by Nic Marks.

Finally, a report from three of the places people live the longest, and How We Can Live to Be 100+ by Dan Buettner.

Lots of food for thought in these presentations…
